About Me

My name is Whitney Skinner. I have been working as an RN for 8 months now. I currently work on the Neurological Rehabilitation unit at Intermountain Medical Center in Utah. I love what I do! Being a nurse is a stressful career. Not only do I have physical demands but emotional demands as well. People's lives and well being are my responsibility on a day to day basis. The purpose of this blog is ultimately a way for me to have an outlet and express my feelings and insights as I continue on my nursing journey. Currently I am studying nursing leadership. The next few months I will post my thoughts and understanding of what topics and skills I have learned. I look forward to years to come in my nursing career and I will look back on these learning experiences and draw from the emotional support reflection can provide.
